This amount represents a 4.1 per cent decrease in the value of exports of the national automotive sector – vehicles and components – compared to 2023. Of the total number of vehicles produced, 97.7 per cent were exported. Europe played a major role (87.8 per cent), with Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy standing out as destinations. Portugal exported vehicles to 123 markets and automotive components to 171 markets in total. Thus, Portugal has made a significant contribution to the global mobility of people and goods.
