It is estimated that the consumption of video games in Portugal will reach 258 million dollars in 2024, with mobile games being the favourite. The turnover of video game companies in Portugal has also increased sig- nificantly in recent years. From 5.4 million in 2018, increased to over 38 million in 2022, representing an average annual growth of 65.2 per cent, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE).
